Congratulations! if you've accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, the you,ve made the best decission of your life.
No decission you could make is more important or wonderfull. When you decide to followJesus, you not only have an assured home in heaven,but you receive a brand new life and a vibrant purpose for living. But of course you may be wondering what all that actually means.
When you trust Jesus Christ you become a child of God. The Bible says,"To all who received him(Jesus) ,to those who believed in his name,he gave the right to become children of God" (John 1:12), in fact Christ himself calls you his friend" I no longer call you servants......Instead I have call you friends"(John15:15)
Just sit back and think of it! You have entered into a vital relationship with the living God, one that will grow and mature as you study his word(The Holy Bible).
In the Bible. the apostle Paul wrote letters to the new believers in each city where he had preached the Gospel. Thes letters make up a significant portion of the New Testament and teach us how to live Godly lives in this world. The Bible will encourage you and provide instruction for your Christian life. As you read the bible and pray, Jesus Christ, will grow more and more dear to you and your love for him will deepen.
Learn to Pray and Praise. You talked to the Lord when you made your decission to him, and he answered your prayer. He loves you! He's your heavenly father. Communication is the key to any relationship, your relationship with God can only grow as you worship and talk to him.
Live an obedient Christian life. Becoming a christian dosen't mean we will be free from hardships and temptations. What it does mean is that we now have the power,through Jesus Christ, to withstand temptations,to endure suffering, to stand strong with God.
Fellowship with other Believers. It's important to associate with other Christians. Find a church that is Bible based,honors Christ and teaches what a real Christian is and begin attending it regularly. The support of other Christians is vital when the storms of life hit.
Share your Faith. Evangelizing, you can ensure that others hear about the Lord by sharing Jesus Christ one on one,telling friends and aquaitances what the Lord has done in your life.
Becoming a Christian is simple enough,when you believe in Jesus Christ and receive him as Savior and Lord,the scritures sayYou will be saved"(Acts16:31) you are given eternal life and will never perish.
But I want you to know that God has begun a great work in your life to make you into the person He wants you to be.
